Meet the Team

Our team is exceptional in how they treat others. The office wouldn’t be what it is without the people who work here. They are well-trained, highly skilled, and friendly. They excel at communicating with kids and adults, are accommodating, and are lots of fun to be around.

I am so happy listening to my team chatting and laughing with our patients and families throughout the day. Each is team member is warm and personable, and they all love helping friends and neighbors transform their lives by changing their smiles!

Erica

Practice Manager

The best thing about being Practice Manager at Seymour Orthodontics? Our patients and their families! Our doctor is really amazing at what he does. He takes a tremendous amount of time with each patient and sees them at almost every single appointment. And I love our staff because they care about our patients and our office, and they make me laugh every day. They’ll keep you laughing, too!

Erica graduated as a dental hygienist in 2007 and worked in private practice until the summer of 2014. She switched to full time at Seymour Orthodontics in 2014 and has managed the practice ever since. In addition to office management and finances, payroll, and insurance, she fills in as a clinical assistant when needed.

Family keeps Erica busy away from the office. She and Dr. Baron have been married since 2007 and have three children, Velora, Pierson, and Aizlyn, as well as their 13-year-old Yorkie, Blaze. These days her hobbies are mainly taking care of the family, though Erica also loves music and dancing, and tries to squeeze in some light reading when time permits.

Amanda

Scheduling Coordinator

I enjoy seeing people gain the confidence they deserve. I get to experience their happiness when they get their braces off – I felt that same joy and amazement when I was patient! Everyone at Seymour Orthodontics is positive, uplifting, caring, and absolutely hilarious. I love being here and I know you’ll love being part of our smile family!

Amanda graduated from Seymour High School in 2019 and joined us soon after. Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients are all part of Amanda’s day. Her warm smile and welcoming attitude make everyone feel at home.

Amanda is living her best life with her boyfriend Bryce and their lovely golden, Archie. In her free time she enjoys reading, drawing, and being with loved ones, especially her fur baby.

Jessie

Orthodontic Assistant

I really like working with the patients, learning all about their lives while seeing them grow along with their new smile! I love our office dynamic and the friendships that I’ve made through the office, both with coworkers and with our patients. I know you’ll have a great experience at Seymour Orthodontics and gain new friends, too!

Jessie has been with our practice since 2017. In addition to assisting Dr. Baron with orthodontic procedures and providing patient care, she handles lab work and orders our inventory. She’s always happy to answer patient and parent questions, offer education, and encourage patients to keep up with their home care.

Jessie and her husband, Corey, have one beautiful bouncing baby girl! They have a four-legged family member, too: Cash, their Golden Retriever who goes everywhere with them. They enjoy jeeping and camping and Jessie loves shopping and living a healthy lifestyle.

Lauren

Orthodontic Technician

I love helping people turn their self-conscious smile into a self-confident smile! Everyone at Seymour Orthodontics is outgoing and fun. We’re serious about what we do – providing you with the best experience – and love being part of the journey to your new smile!

Lauren has worked in the dental field since 2015. She has an Associate’s degree in science, certification in coronal polishing, X-ray, and EDDA, and joined us in 2020. She seats patients and assists with patient care, including tying in and untying patients. Gentle and encouraging, she keeps our patients smiling.

Lauren and her fiancé, Tyler, have a little girl named Audrey who is their world. They also have two dogs, Cash and Tucker, and a horse named Chance. In their down time the family loves to hang out with friends, play outside, and take trips.

Maycee

Financial Coordinator

I like helping patients achieve the smiles of their dreams! It’s a great feeling to be part of Seymour Orthodontics: we’re more like a family than coworkers. We’re outgoing, funny, and kind to one another. We consider you to be part of our family, too, and are excited to be part of your orthodontic experience!

Maycee joined Seymour Orthodontics in 2019 and was trained by Dr. Baron and Erica. As part of the front office, she checks patients in and out, handles insurance matters, and reviews financials with patients and families. Working with families, she finds terms that fit their budget, so they can afford treatment for a new smile.

A 2016 high school graduate from Jennings County, Maycee spends most of her free time with her fur baby, Loki. They enjoy playing and taking walks. In her down time, Maycee enjoys reading a good book or playing her Nintendo Switch.

Shawna

Orthodontic Technician/Lab Tech

I enjoy tying and untying patients and watching each person’s progress to their best smile! Everyone at Seymour Orthodontics is super nice and helpful. We all work hard to give you the best experience and most beautiful new smile!

Shawna joined our team in 2022. She seats patients, assists with Dr. Baron with procedures, and handles lab work. Her friendliness and warmth reassure patients that they’re in caring hands.

Shawna and her boyfriend share their lives with two Aussie doodles. They enjoy camping and being outdoors.

Shayla

Orthodontic Technician

I like getting to know our patients during treatment. It’s fun to see the changes in personality as their new smile appears! Being part of Seymour Orthodontics is being part of a family. We work well with one another and always make you our priority!

Shayla attended a radiology program and joined us in 2020. She offers patient care, assists Dr. Baron with procedures, and takes care of the in-house 3D printing. Her great sense of humor keeps patients grinning during visits.

When she’s not with us, Shayla loves fishing, going to the lake, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
